, you will make thousands of dollars in a few weeks guaranteed". That is the claim found on the web several times and the reality is not as easy as it sounds.
Making money online can definitely be done but it will hardly be instant riches like many claim; the best benefits from working from home and making a living using your laptop and internet access is the flexibility and the ability to expand your business with time and truthfully the sky is the limit at that point; but starting a business online is not easy especially for those who are new to this field and it can be very frustrating at times.
There are many ways to make money online, I will describe 3 methods here that do not require any capital to start but they do require time, patience and effort but in the end these methods could provide limitless opportunities for profit and expansion if done correctly and sticking to their principles.
Blogging: Anyone can start a blog with Blogger or Wordpress but the real challenge lies when it's time to getting traffic to your blog. There should be three phases to blogging. a) Set up your blog b) getting traffic to your blog c) Monetize. Setting up your blog is easy with blogger or Wordpress all you do is follow the instructions and you're done in a few minutes. Getting traffic might be the most difficult task but it can be done, through article writing just like what I'm doing, social networking such as Myspace or Facebook, all you have to do is promote your blog with friends and spread the word. Forum posting is another way to promote your blog. All you have to do is find a forum related to your blog, link back to your blog with your signature and answer questions but never I say again never self promote your blog or spam the forum or you'll be banned. Build a reputation in the forum and people will most likely check out your blog going through your signature link. Once you have a decent following then you monetize either with Google Ad sense or affiliate products such as Clickbank, Commission Junction, Amazon Affiliate program just to name a few. Once there is a strong following there will be people clicking on those products and hopefully buying as well and that's how you make money.
Foreign Exchange Market: Also known as Forex, FX is the biggest financial market in the world and about 4 trillion dollars move in this market daily. Up until the late 1990's only big financial banks and people with large capital were able to trade in the Forex Market; with the internet and latest technology anyone can trade in this very liquid market and make huge profits like the big guys do but of course in order to start trading in the Forex market one must know the basics of Currency trading. There are online brokers that offer demo accounts to practice and get the skills necessary to start trading. It may take a few months to be able to say I'm ready to start trading but once you have the basics and a strategy then it's time to start making money with Forex.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization): Anyone with a website and trying to get traffic would love to be on the first spot on the search engine results for a particular keyword. The road to getting that first spot can be bumpy and long but it's doable if all the SEO techniques are applied, it may take a few months and more but in the end seeing your website at least on the first page of the search results is definitely worth it and the reason is pretty obvious which is thousands of viewers or maybe hundreds of thousands or hey why not millions but it could take a bit longer, and that of course can translate into profits. Main factors for SEO: Keywords placed in the title, post title. within the content not to make it spam and not to make it weak either it is recommended maybe 20 percent in the content. Site linking back to your website is a big factor with Google, the more relevant sites linking back to yours the more popular you are in Google's eyes and the better you will be in the search rankings.
